This versatile Vintage Friendship model 23BHS by Gulf Stream Coach offers you and your family a great camping home!  A Murphy Bed, a u-shaped dinette, and a couple of bunks are the perfect combination for any family of four or six!

 

Enter and notice the jackknife sofa seating to your immediate right.  You will see along the front wall a drop down Murphy Bed in the upright position with two shirt closets for clothing storage.  This can be lowered at night providing a comfortable queen size bed for sleeping.  You will also appreciate the windows on either side for cross ventilation, and the curtain which can be pulled for more privacy at night.

 

Straight ahead through the same entry door enjoy more seating and floor space thanks to a slide out u-shaped dinette.  This is a great place to gather for meals or games, or just to hang out.  It can also be transformed easily into added sleeping space if needed at night.  You will love the under seat drawers for sheets and games, or any other item that needs to be tucked away.  Next to the dinette you will find a wardrobe, and the location for a TV and stereo if you choose to add.

 

To the left of the entry door notice an angled counter with a double sink, a two burner cook-top with overhead microwave oven, and a 6 cu. ft. refrigerator for your perishables all making it easy to prepare meals and snacks while away from home.

 

The very rear of this Vintage Friendship model features a spacious bath within the curb side corner which includes an angled shower, a toilet, and a corner sink with overhead medicine cabinet.  The opposite corner features a set of bunks for the kiddos, or added friends.  You will also find a curtain here that can provide privacy at night.

 

On the outside enjoy added storage with a front pass-through compartment for all of your outdoor camping gear, plus so much more!

Gulf Stream, a leading manufacturer of a full range of RV products was founded and is still owned by the Shea family, originating in the small community of Nappanee, Indiana in 1971.  Founder Jim Shea Sr. was inspired by the quintessentially entrepreneurial spirit of Elkhart County Indiana, and was particularly to the heritage of craftsmanship found in Nappanee, where ties to Amish and Mennonite traditions of handcrafted furnishings and homes were still strong.  

 

Back then, the family operation consisted of manufactured housing (Fairmont Homes). Jim Shea built the operation from the ground up.  He ran the show and his sons joined him learning the business through good old fashioned hands-on experience.  

 

In 1983, the Shea’s established Gulf Stream Coach producing a top quality line of motor homes, travel trailers, and fifth wheel trailers. Gulf Stream’s first RV, the Foxfire travel trailer, benefited from techniques that had made their housing company successful. It allowed Gulf Stream Coach to put things in the Foxfire that weren’t seen in travel trailers.

 

The company continued to grow and in the 1990’s the three sons assumed the lead in day to day operations.  The family patriarch and company founder was recognized for his career contributions to the recreational vehicle and manufactured housing industries by being named to the MH/RV Hall of Fame
